Hi, I am Sanaya. I'm a 10th grader and a full-time history nerd (the proud kind). My love for history didn’t just begin in a classroom. History grew on me quietly when I read "Kargil: From Surprise to Victory" for the first time during my summer vacations in 2024. Since that moment, history has captivated me—not just the wars, but everything it holds: resistance, courage, injustice, silence. I think of history as a woman who is so captivating, full of layers, and fierce! While most people scroll past dusty old wars, I find myself zooming into battle maps and poring over ancient tactics. My biggest fascination? The wars and forgotten narratives of Modern India. Because let’s be honest—India’s history is epic. Indian Army, the pillar of our country, has fought countless battles to protect us. Through this organization, I'm on a mission to unravel the stories of wars and these unsung soldiers.
Project Echo is an organization working towards bringing together army personnel and curious minds to explore India’s rich past in a way that feels alive, personal, and deeply relevant. From freedom movements to wars, we aim to amplify the voices and help those who have fought the battles. Through heartfelt dialogue, critical reflection, and boundless curiosity, Project Echo is here to make history feel like more than facts and timelines it’s here to help us see that history isn’t just behind us. It’s within us. The three pillars of Project Echo are Patronage through crowdfunding, Promotion through interviews, and Partnership with NGOs with a shared vision.
